ProjectWise Explorer Help

Temporarily Disabling Integration with AutoCAD

You can temporarily disable ProjectWise integration using the Disable Integration button on the ProjectWise tab in AutoCAD.

This lets you quickly suspend integration, without having to turn off the feature entirely through the ProjectWise Explorer installer. As soon as you click Disable Integration, integration is disabled and the name of the button changes to Enable Integration. When you are ready to resume integration, click Enable Integration.

If you disable integration and then close AutoCAD, integration remains disabled the next time you open AutoCAD. Also, when AutoCAD integration has been disabled in this manner and you try to open an AutoCAD document from ProjectWise Explorer, you are prompted to re-enable integration and open the file.

Note: You cannot disable integration while a ProjectWise document is open in AutoCAD.
Note: While the existing DMSOFF / DMSON commands effectively do the same thing as the new Disable / Enable Integration buttons, the DMSOFF / DMSON commands are intended to be used for wrapping existing AutoCAD command scripts, not for manual use within the application. If you do need to enter the commands manually for some reason, note that is possible to enter DMSOFF several times, so when resuming integration, make sure you enter DMSON exactly the same number of times you entered DMSOFF. Also, you cannot use the Disable / Enable Integration buttons and the DMSOFF / DMSON commands interchangeably. If you disable integration using the Disable Integration button, you must enable integration using the Enable Integration button. Likewise, if you disable integration using DMSOFF, you must enable integration using DMSON.
